Analisis Yuridis Faktor Penyebab Terjadinya Prostitusi Online Di Media Elektronik Dihubungkan Dengan Pasal 27 Ayat (1) Undang-Undang RI Nomor 1 Tahun 2024 Tentang Informasi Dan Transaksi Elektronik

Cybercrime is one form or dimension of contemporary crime which is one of th dark sides of technological progress. One form of crime in the field of cybercrime is online prostitution. In the provisions of positive law in Indonesia only prohibit those who assist and provide illegal sex services, meaning that the prohibition is only given to pimps or prostitutes, while there is no article regulating commercial sex service users themselves. Based on the description above, the author identifies the following problems: What factors cause the occurrence of online prostitution crimes through electronic media? How are the handling efforts carried out by the police in overcoming the problem of online prostitution crimes through electronic media? The purpose of this study is to determine the factors causing prostitution crimes through electronic media and to determine the role of the police in overcoming and resolving the problem of prostitution crimes through electronic media. The research conducted in this thesis is a normative legal research. In this study used a statutory approach and a comparative approach. The legal materials used are primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Furthermore, the technique of collecting legal materials in this study is by means of literature study, then a qualitative normative analysis is carried out and described in the form of a thesis. The results of the study revealed that the factors causing the occurrence of prostitution crimes through electronic media are factors of misused technological developments, lifestyle factors, economic factors, low education factors, environmental factors of free association, factors of lack of parental supervision, factors of lack of faith. Meanwhile, the prevention efforts carried out by the police use two types of efforts, namely preventive and repressive efforts. The author's suggestion is to reduce the emergence of prostitution crimes can make strict rules regarding the needs of prostitution, which must regulate clearly and firmly regarding the practice of prostitution and prostitution and There needs to be an effort to improve, especially in the field of technology and information in the police structure so that it can quickly handle cases related to technology and information. And the public should participate in helping the police in controlling social inequality due to prostitution through electronic media.
