Tinjauan Yuridis Upaya Kepolisian Dalam Mencegah Dan Menanggulangi Kenakalan Geng Motor Dihubungkan Dengan Undang-Undang No. 2 Tahun 2002 Tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia

Various acts of violence are often committed by motorcycle gangs, ranging from assault, robbery, murder to wars between motorcycle gangs. Brawls in the community are also worrying about the acts of violence committed by these motorcycle gangs, because the majority of perpetrators who participate in violent acts carried out by motorcycle gangs are dominated by teenagers and children who are still students. Various preventive measures are also often carried out by the police to anticipate cases of violence committed by motorcycle gangs so that these acts of violence do not continue continuously. Various efforts to overcome motorcycle gang violence are carried out by all related parties, including state officials, social institutions and the surrounding community, starting from raids at schools, counseling, providing understanding to parents to supervise the behavior of their children so that they do not fall into motorcycle gang groups. The problem raised is what are the obstacles the Police face in preventing motorcycle gang delinquency and what efforts are made by the Police in preventing and overcoming motorcycle gang delinquency.
The research conducted is a library research. The analysis used is an empirical juridical analysis. The results of the research and discussion explain the factors that cause motorcycle gang delinquency which include two main factors. These factors are internal factors of the perpetrator and external factors of the perpetrator. Internal factors are factors that come from within the individual, while external factors come from outside the individual but greatly influence the individual's behavior patterns. Obstacles in preventing motorcycle gang delinquency are that the perpetrators are children and are still underage, the speed of moving motorcycle gangs from one place to another, the number of police officers is not commensurate with the number of motorcycle gangs, the arrogance of the community who tries to disrupt motorcycle gangs, the identity of motorcycle gang members is unknown and motorcycle gang activities are carried out at night. Efforts made to prevent and overcome motorcycle gang delinquency are providing counseling to school children every Monday and carrying out preventive security (coaching).
