Penegakan Hukum Pengguna Michat Dalam Aktivitas Prostitusi Online Dihubungkan Dengan Uu No. 21 Tahun 2007 Tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang

This study aims to determine the causal factors of online prostitution crimes committed by users through the MiChat application in Cirebon City and to determine the efforts made by law enforcement officers, especially the police, in overcoming online prostitution crimes committed by users through the MiChat application in Cirebon City.

This research was conducted in Cirebon City. The research method used was a field study through direct interviews with informants or officers. The author also conducted library research by collecting data from various literature, documents, reports, archives, and other sources. The data obtained was then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques and presented descriptively.

The results of this study are: (1) The factors causing the occurrence of online prostitution crimes committed by pimps through the MiChat application in Cirebon City include economic factors, environmental factors, technological advancement factors, the role of prostitutes and customers and the minimal sanctions for providers of places. (2) Efforts made by the DP3APPKB of Cirebon City to overcome online prostitution crimes committed by pimps through the MiChat application in Cirebon City are by carrying out pre-emptive efforts in the form of appeals from the authorities regarding legal sanctions and spiritual showers. Preventive efforts include counseling activities, cooperation with related agencies, and conducting patrols and raids in places considered prone to prostitution. Repressive efforts include taking action and imposing penalties for perpetrators of online prostitution cases through pimps.
